Standale is a semi-detached cottage next to the owners' home in Staunton-on-Wye near Hereford. It has a double, a twin and a single with an en-suite basin and WC. There is a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is a private patio, and guests also have use of the owners' pretty cottage garden. Standale is ideally placed for walking on Offa's Dyke, in the Black Mountains or just in the pretty country lanes, or for visiting Hereford or Hay-on-Wye.

Staunton-on-Wye is a scattered village 11 miles from Hereford. The village has a pub, and is set in lovely countryside with good walking from the door. Within reach of Staunton-on-Wye are Hay-on-Wye, Offa's Dyke, the Wye Valley Walk and the Black Mountains.

Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
