Quiet and spacious double room, (for one, two or three people) with great views overlooking park, easy walking and cycling distance to Olympics.
The room has original timber floors, stucco ceiling, fireplace, and doors and windows, (one bay window and one sash window) and its own new bathroom (not en suite, but next to the room), and facilities for making tea and coffee. Its directly off the main hall in the ground floor. There is a table for working, a timber double bed. The bed will be made up for your arrival and towels will be provided. There is free wi fi available throughout the house.
You are welcome to use our large kitchen (on agreement). We can also provide breakfast for a small extra charge if you wish.
The room is in a large Victorian house with garden. We are a young family, both adults architects, and two kids aged 1 and 5. Babies and children are welcome, and we can provide a simple travel cot or futon.
We have bikes which you are welcome to use, and buses stop 2 min outside our front door. We are in travel zone 2, 10 minutes on the train to Liverpool Street Station, and on the major bus routes into central London and West End for all museums and theatres.
We are very excited and knowlegeable about London and Hackney and particular, and are welcome to help you with tips and ideas for your stay. We speak English and German fluently, and a little French.
Clapton, our neighbourhood, has a lovely traditional high street with old fashioned green grocer, delicatessen, cool cafes etc, as well as being next to the open spaces of the Lea Valley. It is really close to other interesting areas in East London: Dalston, Shoreditch, Clerkenwell and Spitalfields Market, Broadway Market, London Fields with its heated Lido, Columbia Road Flower Market, Stoke Newington's Church Street, and Hackney Village (close to Victoria Park).
